{Real Parties} Jam Master Julian's 3rd Birthday Bash!

Determining what Julian's party theme proved to be much easier than I imagined it would be (with only two weeks to spare). I just asked him one day on the way home from school what type of party he wanted for his birthday. His response, "I want microphones, guitars, and music!!" Mommy's interpretation of that, a Run DMC inspired party that blended most of his requests with a bit of old school hip-hop flavor! Mind you Julian also has suddenly developed a huge break-dancing and beat-boxing love that we have no clue where it started.

I knew graffiti needed to be part of the theme, what better way then a personalized backdrop where all the kids (and adults) could take pictures.

My awesome hubby built the stage!
45's were used as his birthday banner (truly keeping it old school)

The cake was made by Dawn Clayton and it not only looked great, it tasted even better! Cannot wait til she has a website up, her work is awesome!

Brandi of Joyful Cookies totally rocked these cookies out!

Of course microphones had to be a part of the party!
Jess from Party Box Design came through like the Rock Star she is on the cupcake toppers!
My wonderful mom carved this and made the Edible Arrangement like skewers
JAD Rice Krispy treats with a red microphone for added flair
Of course we had to give CD's away as favors!
We also added record chocolate lollipops to make the favor super sweet!

Birthday boy in front of his banner giving his I am "HARD" face. :-)

Offering up the mic to one of his party guests! He shares so well.
It was an awesome day! Julian had so much fun and the parents and kids alike are talking about the next party.

We are Official!

Launching a blog is not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of work, thought, and most of all time. It also requires the encouragement of friends and family. There are times when you want to stop doing all the work and just continue to look at other people's pretty and inspiring blogs instead of creating your own. Well, we finally did it, we finished our blog!! We are so proud of it and our hope is that you will love stopping in, taking a look, leaving a thought (or two), picking up a tip, and most importantly being inspired! Inspiration is the fuel for innovation and creativity and we hope The Glitz Report will help you achieve both.
When you meet someone or something for the first time, introductions are necessary. We felt the best way to introduce ourselves to you, was to show you a few of our favorite things. These are things that we are passionate about in the realm of events and fashion. They inspire us, make us smile upon sight, want to work harder (so we can buy them), and overall are swoon worthy!

Some people love cake, we obsess about it just a bit.

No event is complete without it being captured and we LOVE photography so much that picking just one photographer would be impossible. We plan on featuring many of the ones we love and admire so come back to see the art they create and get inspired!

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend. These jewels would definitely be our BFF's.

So if you are reading this, THANK YOU! You were actually interested in enough in what we had to say and show to make it this far. So we say Welcome and we look forward to seeing you again!
